Great little game. That said, the % crank rewards seem to break when you get a certain distance in. I've started over twice and it's happened both times. Other than that, love it!
I think the next update will be focused on more informations on what you buy, a statistics screen, some performance improvement since the game is currently running at 25 fps, diverse upgrades and maybe a soundtrack then MAYBE more animations :v
But I first have to finish another game I'm working on. Stay tuned !
Bit of a shame how quickly cranking becomes utterly useless, adding some more upgrades to cranking to make it worthwhile beyond the first few minutes would we cool. E.g. in Cookie Clicker, upgrades that add a percentage point of CpS to each click keep the clicking relevant throughout the entire game.
1) Display the unitary and total cps/time for each building
2) Add some kind of crank to 2x multiplier that pops up temporarily when the app is open, so its fun to crank even after cranking is no longer effective
3) It would be cool to show the still not bought buildings one by one, instead of opening them all, so it would always be a surprise to know what crazy contraption the next building will be
I will keep those suggestion in the back of my head ! I initially intended to make some of the stuff you just suggested but since it was my first game on the Playdate I struggled a bit and didn't want to make a buggy/laggy mess (and even without all that the game sometimes run at 25fps...)
I'll probably come back to upgrading this game after some weeks/months of practicing !
The updated file has the same buildNumber in the pdxinfo as the old one. Because of this it is not seen as an update on the Playdate after sideloading it via the Playdate website. I had to remove the old file on the website, then uninstall and re-download the game to the device to get the new version.
[EDIT] There’s a small bug with the language selection, where the applied language doesn’t match the one that is selected. To reproduce: Currently on EN (default), open menu, switch language to FR, then DE, close menu. The applied language is now French instead of German.
I also have a minor feature request:
Could you disable the device auto lock while the game is active? I sometimes just want to have it running to wait for my cogs to reach some target amount, but that’s prevented by the auto lock.
Or alternatively have it update for the passed time after unlocking the device again?
hopefully! I also like that your game keeps cranking interesting with the 2x multipliers. On the other you stopped cranking way too soon. Great game! Enjoying it

Did you play the 1.4.0 or 1.4.1 version of the game ?
I was looking for a nice little idle game, I am very satisfied. :)
And I was happily surprised by the great music! ♫
Any plans to further polish the main cog with animations, a background, special effects, and visual upgrades to match what you buy?

Loving this as a huge Cookie Clicker fan.

It looks really fun to kill time on the go
I wish I had a Playdate to play this banger of a game!
Hi, thank you for this fine incremental game!
I have a small “issue” to report:
The updated file has the same buildNumber in the pdxinfo as the old one. Because of this it is not seen as an update on the Playdate after sideloading it via the Playdate website. I had to remove the old file on the website, then uninstall and re-download the game to the device to get the new version.

Cheers!
Thanks for the report ! I'll look that after new year
Features were added and bugs were squashed ! I hope everything works well now ! :D
Thank you so much! :)
Looks cool but there is already a cookie clicker clone for playdate ("Cookie Cranker"), although your version might be a bit more polished.
Ho, I didn't know another clone existed
The more incremental games I can put on my Playdate, the better! :D
that clone is broken and will crash if you leave it while you have more than 3billion cookies :\
here is to hoping this one works flawlessly!
Normally it should work at long as you don't cross 1^3^38 curency
You should be good to play for a few millenia :v
hopefully! I also like that your game keeps cranking interesting with the 2x multipliers. On the other you stopped cranking way too soon. Great game! Enjoying it
